  • GAPSN Celebrates LGBT Pride at LA Pride Parade - Sunday, June 8
GAPSN continues its 30th anniversary festivities at LA Pride on Sunday, June 8!  Please join us in the GAPSN unit as we parade through the streets of West Hollywood and celebrate 30 years of pride and service to the gay API community.

As in previous years, we expect a few smokin' hot special guests and lots of music, dancing, and merriment!

    Sunday, June 8, 2014
    Free pre-parade breakfast from 9:00 a.m.
Parade steps off at 11:00 a.m.

    PRE-PARADE BREAKFAST (9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.)
A yummy and fortifying FREE breakfast will be provided for everyone who participates in the GAPSN parade unit. It's also a great opportunity to socialize with all the other marchers in our Asian Pacific Islander Pride Council contingent. The breakfast will take place at:

David Hong and Nid Sinsatheinporn's House
    1032 N. Ogden Drive
    West Hollywood, CA 90046
    (see Google Maps
Parking: Please park on the street. Arrive early for best parking in the neighborhood. Permit parking restrictions will be lifted during Pride weekend.

Parade Step-Off:  The breakfast will conclude at 10:30 a.m. and we'll proceed to the parade staging area from there.  If you are unable to make it to the breakfast by 10:30 a.m., please proceed directly to the staging area at Santa Monica Bl. and Crescent Heights Bl. and ask for Asian Pacific Islander Pride Council.

GAPSN t-shirts will be provided FREE at the breakfast.  All members of the GAPSN parade unit will be asked to wear these t-shirts during the parade.

A few things to consider before you participate in this "public" parade: if you (1) are NOT OUT, camera-shy, or hate the paparazzi that you think follow you everywhere, (2) may have difficulty walking for the 1.5 mile parade route or are uncomfortable with heat or loud noise, or (3) have issues with personal space because it gets really crowded, this may not be the event for you.  Otherwise, please join us for this fun and memorable occasion!

Founded in 1984, GAPSN's mission is to provide safe and supportive environments for gay and bisexual Asian Pacific Islander (API) men to meet, network, voice concerns, foster self-empowerment, and advocate on issues of significance to the gay API community.
This year, GAPSN celebrates 30 years of service to the gay API community with a year-long series of events and activities to mark this milestone.
Please join us at our parade unit in the LA Pride Parade in June and GAPSN's 30th Anniversary Banquet & Pacific Bridge Awards in October!
