GAPSN Member, Richard Peng

Richard Peng is partly responsible for the social events of GAPSN through the year 2002. Richard is Chinese, but born in Vietnam. He grew up in Huntington Beach, CA. Aside from other things, he likes to work out and considers himself an endurance runner. He is also the vice president of the L.A. Frontrunners, a gay and lesbian running club for the Los Angeles area. Richard is an exercise physiologist working for HealthCare Partners Medical Group in L.A. His job description consists of cardiac rehabilitation, stress testing, holter monitor hook-up and reports, pacemaker check, walking group (exercise for older adults), and he is also involved in the weight management program. He got his Bachelor degree at the University of Arizona in Exercise and Sports Sciences and at Radford University in Sports Medicine in Virginia, and then continued on for his Masters degree in Cardiopulmonary Science at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
